I came upon some incredibly low fares on Scoot’s website, as part of a New Year’s flash sale, with highly discounted tickets departing from all of their destinations. I don’t think they will last very long, and are likely to sell out soon, so book ASAP if you are interested! Because of various departure/destination and date combinations, feel free to play around on Scoot’s website. They look like GREAT fares!
Scoot Boeing 787 at Taipei Airport Bound For Tokyo Narita
I will be pointing out some highlight examples (all fares are roundtrip and include taxes) departing from Hong Kong for everyone, but keep in mind that there are more! While booking, keep in mind that Scoot merged with Tigerair this summer, so be aware that some regional flights to Tigerair destinations will be operated by Tigerair’s A320 hard product, which features more cramped seats with 28-inch seat pitch. On the other hand, Scoot’s 787 economy seat product is arguably comparable to full-service carriers, with a dedicated “Scoot-in-Silence” cabin for travelers unkeen to travel in proximity to any children under 12 years old.

Before I go any further, Scoot is a low-cost airline fully owned by Singapore Airlines. They have three economy class fares: Fly, FlyBag, and FlyBagEat, which I find self-explanatory enough.
“Fly” packages include a seat, “Bag” packages include a 20kg free checked bag, and “Eat” packages include a standard meal with beverages.
Scoot also offers a premium product named ScootBiz, which is more along the lines of a real Premium Economy product offered on full-service carriers – 38 inch seats in a 2-3-2 configuration offering extensive recline, plenty of room to stretch out, and a comfortable adjustable leg rest. Andrew from One Mile at a Time’s review of this product from Tokyo to Taipei will give you a good sense of what it’s like.

Flights to Gold Coast, Australia in “Fly” can be found at a shocking ~HK$2,300, including all taxes and charges, or you could upgrade to FlyBag with HK$435, or to FlyBagEat with HK$635.
The lowest “Fly” fare for flights to Sydney all the way from Hong Kong can be found at HK$2918 all-inclusive, which is still a huge bargain.
From my home country, Taiwan, Scoot operates to two destinations: Kaohsiung and Taipei Taoyuan. The capital Taipei is used by Scoot as a scissor hub to Sapporo, Tokyo Narita, Singapore, etc., and Kaohsiung, a major city in Southern Taiwan, is a new destination for Scoot. Hence, there are extremely low promotional fares for journeys originating from there, and with the flash sale, the fares are jaw-dropping.
On flights to Sapporo, Japan in March originating from Taipei, where I live, there are unbelievably low fares.
You could fly to a world of powder snow with phenomenal ski slopes for only 4552 TWD, which is about ~HK$1206. That’s just incredible value since full-service careers such as Taiwanese airlines EVA Air and China Airlines are going for as high as 26000 TWD (~HK$6865) on similar dates.
And my heart almost stopped beating when I saw the ScootBiz fare: 7552 TWD (~HK$1994)!
But I couldn’t book the AMAZING ScootBiz fare due to some unfortunate circumstances, which means I’ll sadly be missing an incredible opportunity. However, I hope YOU can take advantage of this fare, or any of the others in this flash sale!
In conclusion, this flash sale offers OUTSTANDING value, and I’ll book any of these super cheap fares in a heartbeat. However, given the current situation, I really can’t, so I hope you’ll be able to! Keep in mind, there are so many fares on sale, so search your way through at Scoot’s official website!
