This isn’t me groaning about my school trip flights. In fact, I’m pretty well covered with a guarantee of power ports and PTV’s as I fly in the creature comforts of Dragonair’s economy class from Hong Kong to Kaohsiung and back.
Dragonair Airbus A330-300 Economy Class
Seems familiar?
It’s exactly the trip that Alvin took last year. So I think I have a good idea of what to expect flight and hotel wise. Thankfully (unlike Alvin who was going into it “blind”).
However, this is another story why my mom never should ever trust anyone but herself (or me, obviously) for her flight bookings.
Here is the conversation that my mother and her agent had a week ago:
Mom: Can we please get tickets from Hong Kong to Shanghai? Please pick the cheapest ticket option.
Agent: Sure!… Is 598 HKD okay roundtrip? Because that’s the cheapest option that I’ve got.
Mom: This is a heck of a deal! Yes! Thank you so much!
One week later:
Three f*cking tickets from Spring Airlines on Hong Kong to Shanghai pop into my mother’s email inbox.
